Who we are
Luven Technologies LLC (Oakshield is a trade name of Luven Technologies LLC) (“we”). For anything about your data, email hello@oakshield.co.
What we collect, and why
- When you email us: your email address, your name if you give it, and what you write. We use it to reply and to follow up on what you asked about.
- The contact form doesn’t store your message. It shows our email address instead, and what you send by email is handled as above.
- To stop abuse of the form, we use a keyed hash of your IP address, never the address itself, to limit repeated submissions. It appears in our service logs.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- To count visits: our hosting provider, Vercel, counts page views for us (Vercel Web Analytics). With each page view it records the page, the site that sent you here, your approximate location (country, region and city) and your browser, operating system and device type. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you: it tells visits apart by a hash of your request, which it discards after 24 hours, and we see only totals. We use them to learn which pages people read and how they find us.
No cookies, no advertising, no cross-site tracking. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies’ servers: no advertising pixels, chat widgets or embedded videos. Our visit counts don’t follow you to other sites, and nothing else here tracks you, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing. We never sell or share your personal information for advertising.
Marketing emails
We send them only if you ticked the opt-in box, and every one has an unsubscribe link. Contacting us doesn’t sign you up.
Who else sees it
Only the companies that run our services for us, under contracts that limit what they may do with it: our hosting provider, our email provider. Some of them may process data outside your country. We disclose data if the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. Email hello@oakshield.co; we’ll confirm it’s you, then do it. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
